Council, in conjunction with the League of Women Voters, will be hosting the 3rd District
Supervisor candidate forum this Thursday, April 10th, from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Avila Beach

Liddell Event on April 11th
UFC Champ Chuck Liddell will be the special guest of Supervisor Jerry Lenthall on Friday,
April 11th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Downtown Brew, 1119 Garden Street in downtown San Luis
Obispo.
For those who have purchased tickets for the original March reception, you
will have a chance to get your copy of Liddell's autobiography "Iceman" at the event. Tickets
are still available!

South County Precinct Walk
Time to get your walk on! Saturday, April 12th, we will be meeting at 9 am at the Ramona
Garden Park in Grover Beach for a neighborhood walk. In the morning you will receive your
maps, some fresh coffee, and Supervisor Jerry Lenthall handouts to distribute. In the afternoon
beginning at noon, Supervisor Lenthall and volunteers will serve hot dogs and you can also
pick up yard signs to take home and place in your yard. You'll also receive a "Re-Elect
Jerry Lenthall" t-shirt to wear on your walk. Don't forget to bring your sunscreen, a shady

Steve Ford to Speak in Avila
On Saturday, April 18th, President Gerald Ford's son, Steve Ford, will be giving an inspirational
speech at the Avila Beach Resort at 6450 Ana Bay Drive, Avila Beach. A fundraiser for Supervisor
Lenthall's re-election bid, tickets cost $50 per person and other sponsorship packages
available. Steve Ford has an impressive resume and will share his personal experiences
of growing up in the White House and his success as a professional Hollywood actor. The
reception is from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with appetizers and drinks included. Please call the

On Wednesday, May 21st, California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner will be Supervisor
